BIO

Sascha started his career as a movie theatre manager in Schleswig-Holstein, Gemany where he was responsible for three cinemas by the age of 21. After this followed jobs as an assistant director at the municipal theatre in Bremerhaven as well as at several smaller film projects. Sascha wrote his first screenplay during this time then followed his first short films and finally an education in Media Design for Film, TV & Sound at the AWGD academy in Hamburg. His main emphases were in film theory, dramaturgy and montage theory.

    

At the AWGD he learned to refine his abilities as a screenwriter, director and editor. During this time he made the short films OVERTIME and A WRITER'S TALE. Sascha completed his studies in 2006 with his short STILLE.

So far Sascha has wrote and directed the feature film SHUT, lots of short films and other stuff. In addition to this Sascha has worked as editor and co-written the screenplay for the feature film PROFILE OF FEAR.

Sascha’s latest project LITTLE SECRETS was recently completed. Currently he is in post-production with the dark comedy short LILLI and in pre-production with the feature film FIERCE (both co-written with Tommy Draper).

Sascha co-created the web series SUPERHERO BLOG which is part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund and European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument). Production starts in October 2010

Sascha was nominated for the 20th Century Fox Award with his short 25 CENT. The film also won the Audience Award at the Clip Award 2009, entered the Short Film Corner at Cannes 2009 and was nominated for best short film, best script and best editing at the Strasbourg International Film Fest.
